I've been working on some photos this afternoon that I have had sitting on the computer for a couple of weeks. Here are a couple of views from the air-show yesterday...

A member of the "Happy Hooligans," out of Fargo, ND.

The Thunderbirds in formation on one of their many flight manuevers...
I'll have many more of these photos uploaded to my photo gallery at some point this afternoon. I'll also be uploading photos from my storm chase from June 30th across northeastern ND and northwestern MN, as well as photos from our forecaster picnic last week.
Enjoy!

Hi dave... Nah, no one gets fired. ;) Our forecasts are mostly directed towards departments of transportation for maintenance purposes. And is "most" important during the fall, winter, and early spring when freezing precipitation can make roads slick... Our forecasts are also available through 511 services for MT, KS, NE, SD, ND,and MN, however, so our forecasting for these states continue year-round. And yeah, there are times when our forecasts may not be entirely accurate, but when the computer forecast models are not handling the situation well and aren't forecasting the weather accurately, then it's difficult to develop an accurate forecast. Forecasters, in general, are typically only as good as the computer models are... ;)
